DePaul orientation (Premiere DePaul) was July 30-31 for me and while the experience was incredible, I couldn't help but notice that everything was being set in stone around me. My ID picture was taken, I registered for classes, turned in my new housing contract and toured the building (yes I have housing and I promise details will come later). Then that night walking back to the dorms where we stayed the night in (Munroe Hall) it dawned on me:

This makes it legit.

Before I know it I'll be walking around campus by myself, not with a large group of clueless incoming freshman, I'll have to find my way around on the L Train, not with a student leader pointing out the right destinations, and all my days will repeat and not end with my dad picking me up asking about my day.

AND I'M SOOOOO READY!

Am I nervous and all that stuff, of course, but this has been my goal since forever!

I need to make my own path as soon as possible. After all, my major is journalism which means I'll be documenting stories and how can I appreciate others' if I don't create my own?
